A Gift of Beautiful Silks and Bobbins
I recently received this lovely gift from a friend. I love embroidering with silk and wool on linen, but I usually can't afford those materials, so this was a great surprise. I especially love the beautiful bobbins. They are from Elisabet's Handspun. I'm having a lot of fun deciding which projects to use them on.

Extant Redwork Unicorn Embroidery
I saw this piece posted on a Facebook embroidery group and just had to share. It is c.1588 and is embroidered in silk. I am going to make something using this as my inspiration.

I had a lovely suprise today; a friend bought me a present of silk. How kind and generous!
I would like to use them for these dresses- if I am game to cut them!
