Fire danger - Staying close to home
The break over Christmas has been a great opportunity to tackle my enormous Unfinished Object pile. It is very hot in South Australia just now, and I live close to where the bushfires are at the moment, so it seems prudent to stay close to home and do some embroidery!
My internet connection has been a bit sporadic in the last couple of days, and it has taken me a while to get this post up. As of this evening, the fire is 95% out with only spot fires remaining. We are having a thunderstorm here now, so fingers crossed for rain and no lightening. My family was lucky not to progress past the pre-evacuation warning stage, and the firefighters halted the fire approximately 8km from our house.
